IV. Case Studies (Thu)

Background

With the increasing availability and ease of acquisition of the data necessary to establish boundary conditions, two-dimensional hydraulic models (e.g. SRH-2D) have become a more important and tractable tool in the assessment of fluvial form, processes and associated ecosystem services. In this session, we will discuss analyses that are possible with 2D hydraulic modeling tools including morphological unit mapping, microhabitat (ecohydraulic) modeling, and inference of geomorphic processes.
