BackgroundTo be able to distinguish meaningful geomorphic change from noise depends on a robust uncertainty analysis. As discussed in yesterday's lectures, the basic change detection exercise is what is required to play ball. However, the really interesting applications come in interpreting the geomorphic change through morphological sediment budgeting, budget segregation and spatial masking. In this session we introduce these topics and run through some simple exercises to perform such analyses using the GCD 5 software.Subtopics:I. Recap of Day 1 / Overview of Day 2
